The CERTIFIED WORDS campaign aims to show society how women absorb negative words spoken upon us, how these words manifest themselves within our everyday lives, and how we’re working to reverse the harmful impact of these words. Every day, our belief system evolves as we reject and accept new truths about ourselves. It’s easy for a negative experience to become a constant reminder and a new permanent fixture of our self-view, yet it’s extremely taxing to undo the harmful impact of a self-deprecating belief. It’s a simple fact: words do indeed become things. It’s time society understands and witnesses this.
The Social Campaign
On 7/5/16 and 7/6/16 we will be launching our very social #NOTCRAZYBUTHUMAN to usher in the premiere of the new series. Join us in fighting the stigma surrounding mental health illness and the usage of the word “crazy” to label those who are battling a mental health illness, or are simply experiencing a rough patch in life. Our struggles do not mean we are “crazy”, it means we are human.
Join the movement by tweeting, facebooking, or instagramming your insecurities, your flaws, or your battle with your mental health followed by the hashtag #notcrazybuthuman.
- I sometimes bury myself in work, to avoid my emotions. #notcrazybuthuman
- I’m a survivor of depression. #notcrazybuthuman
- I’m working on being more comfortable within my own skin. #notcrazybuthuman
Our first season of Certified Words, “I’m Not Crazy” will be premiering July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM EST. Be sure to check it out, and of course share and encourage this important conversation.
