NEW YORK, APRIL 18, 2015 – This past April, we held our very first Back 2 Basics: Brunch & Learn. This series is designed to provide women with the toolkit they need to build and hone their sense of self. During this round we focused on the power of positive thinking, and combating self-deprecating thoughts through a workshop led by Roe Piccoli, a licensed therapist.
“I didn’t know what to expect when I attended the inaugural installment of the Back 2 Basics series, but I can definitely say that I was wowed. The event was executed flawlessly and every little detail was considered and taken care of. But beyond that, the afternoon was filled with positivity, authenticity and lessons that we could put into action. Since I attended the first part of the series, I have started writing positive affirmations and using emotional freedom tapping as part of my morning meditation. One of my favorites that I developed is “I will be intentional about the energy I create. I will be intentional about the energy I take on. I will be intentional about the energy I let in.” These are tools that I already feel have helped me immensely on my journey, giving me the confidence and peace of mind to take whatever happens in stride and with grace.
